Here's a little more about me. I have a passion for the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping or homesteading, as long as I’m outside, I’m happy. I was born and raised in the country and spent most of my childhood on a dairy farm. When I was 15, I talked my parents into letting me get my hunting license and have been hooked ever since. Whenever I could be, I was in the bush or on the lake. My passion for the outdoors led me to take Fish and Wildlife and Law Enforcement in school. And during that time, I got a summer job in conservation. That led to a career in conservation, which allows me to be outside every day. When I’m not working, on a back country canoe trip or calling in a moose, I’m building my own home. In 2007 I pioneered a piece of property and built a 250 square foot off-grid cabin. Stay tuned for some video footage about that. In 2012, my wife and I bought another piece of property with an old home on it, which we tore down and rebuilt. It’s been a labour of love. Through all of these processes and experiences, I have learned and I have taught. Which led to this website. My friends and family kept telling me I needed to share my knowledge and passion with the world. So here you are. Hope you like it.
