I’VE BEEN ABDUCTED TO GO FISHING
When a friend asks you to go fishing and gives you no more details - say yes!

Where are we going, I don't care as long as the fishing is good

A friend of mine that I went through college with called me out of the blue and asked if I would join him and some of his friends on a fishing. They needed another person to round out an even amount of people per boats. I had the time so I agreed to go.

I asked him for some details and he let me know what to bring for gear and that they would pick me up at a local parking lot at 10pm. From there we would drive all night and get to the lake and marina by day break the next day. I'm in.

As he stated my wife dropped me off at the local parking lot and at 10pm they rolled in. We loaded my gear and off we went for the long drive. Turns out we were headed to Grey Owl cabin on Biscotasi Lake for some serious walleye fishing and the week did not disappoint.

I t was about a 45 minute boat ride to the cabin. Amazing scenery and the accommodations were pretty solid. A cabin with kitchen and hot water. Bedrooms that slept 10 plus people with main seating area and nice porch. What more could you ask for.

After unloading the boats and setting everything up which took minutes as everyone is just stoked to go out fishing as they wait all year for this one week to unwind on the lake. We head out in multiple different directions with a timeline to come home for dinner and if luck would have it a few walleye to enjoy. The main way of fishing on this lake is to use bottom bouncers and a worm harness. If that doesn't work then the good old walleye diver is always at the ready. You pick up the gear I used here via the links. As an amazon associate I earn from qualified purchases.

To find the rocky shoals and outcrops in the lake that hold walleye it really helps if you have a fish finder but it isn't always necessary. Each day we would head out, changing the people in the boats and exploring new areas of the lake. The really cool part is that these guys have been fishing this lake for 25 plus years and have been keeping a chart on the number of fish caught, species and size over that time. They probably have the most accurate fishing creel census for that lake you will ever find.

All in all it was a great week with good folks and I have been back a couple time since my first abduction. I posted a video on my Youtube page of the whole trip and the fishing we experienced. Take a look and hopefully you can experience something like this also.

Why do I need to put this blindfold on?
